How to Use DVD Shrinks Software?
DVD Shrinks enable users to back up DVDs on their computer hard disk. Before learning how to use DVD Shrinks, you must have following things:
• DVD Burning Software (NERO is recommended)
• DVD Shrink software
• DVD Movie backup
• Blank DVD.
Steps to use DVD Shrinks Software:
• Start DVD Shrinks software and choose "Open Disc" option. You will see a box.
• Now choose the DVD Drive with your disc. The name of DVD will appear in brackets.
• Press OK. The software will read the DVD to show movie breakdown list in the right hand column.
• Since all contents of the original DVD can't be copied on your blank DVD. Hence, you need to press the re-author option in the top menu.
• You will see the "Main Menu" option in the right hand column. Under this option¸ there is a file which you need drag to the left column. The size of this file is usually over 4500MB. You need to compress this file by using the DVD Shrinks software.
• Once the file is compressed, you can copy it on the new DVD. The movie is copied in the new DVD without the unwanted features that accompanies it. For example, foreign language subtitles etc.
• Now choose the Backup option in the top menu.
• If Nero is installed on your system; DVD Shrinks can burn the movie to any blank DVD. That's the best thing about this software. You will be prompted to replace the original DVD with a blank DVD.
• If Nero is not installed, DVD Shrink will make an image file for the DVD so that you can burn it later. Now you just need to select a target for backup. If the Nero is installed, the burn can be the target for choosing. If Nero is not is not installed, you can choose any file location. Now press okay to start the process.
• Notice an option in the "Quality Settings" tab named "Perform Deep Analysis" Click on this option if you want better quality of DVDs.
If the movie on the original DVD is below 4.7 GB; there is no need to use the DVD Shrinks software. However, it is very necessary to learn how to use DVD Shrinks software. Once you have learned how to use DVD Shrinks software, it can easily back up the DVDs which are larger than 4.7 GB limit.
